Welcome to Coaching Lodge of Instruction

Welcome to the website of the Coaching Lodge of Instruction operated by The First Artificer Lodge 3774. It is not the website of the Emulation Lodge of Improvement, details of which can be found below.

Our L of I has been in existence for more than 100 years, meets on a Tuesday and has recently moved to Freemasons Hall, Great Queen St. London. WC2B 5AZ.

Our intention is not to correct every word or mistake that is made but rather concentrate on getting the best out of what you know, and possibly improving your perambulations, floor work and those items which are in the Rubric (red bits!).

This means that you can come along and have a go at any office that you like. Maybe practice your next office or have a go at being the WM. You may want to practice some wand drill as a Deacon, processions as a DC, or have a go at the Tracing Boards etc.

Perhaps you may only want to rehearse your floor work as a Deacon, without all the other sections associated with that particular degree. Guidance on protocol, Festive Board, Salutations you name it and we probably cover it.

We are not constrained or tied to just one degree on the night. We can hop between degrees as we need to, in order to assist you.

Our one and only goal is to assist you in producing a confident performance on the night. We can help you achieve this - all you have to do is attend.

We are currently opening at 6:45 although on occasions it has been a bit later as the rooms can all be occupied.

The Preceptors are lead by Jeremy Beech and Jon Leech, both Inspectors and both former Metropolitan Deputy Grand Directors of Ceremonies.

It is important that you inform us if you are attending as we need to add you to our mailing list and then give you access to our online Calendar, as well as to confirm that the L of I is being held on any particular evening.

Please contact the Secretary at: jeremy@thelodgeofinstruction.com

We look forward to assisting you on your Masonic journey. The cost is just £3.00 per evening
